Bucket List in America for Thrill Seeker

Calling all adrenaline junkies!
Are you looking for your next adrenaline rush?

Then you are in luck. You no longer have to go to India to bathe an elephant, Greenland to see an Ice Cave, or even Iceland to see the Aurora Lights.

Many of the items that are on your bucket list are available right here in America. That’s right!

You may not have to leave the country to make your bucket list come true. Below is a complete list of Bucket List items you can add – or – check off your list.

Walk Across this 228 Foot High Swinging Bridge

Swinging Bridge North Carolina
2050 Blowing Rock Hwy, Linville, NC 28646
Hours: 9 am – 5 pm

Afraid of heights? Then walking across the Swinging Bridge in North Carolina is a great way to get the blood pumping.

Although, the name may be deceiving as the bridge is quite sturdy.

Another reason to add this to your bucket list is the fantastic views from the bridge.

The bridge is approximately 5,280 feet high and 228 feet long, allowing for epic views of Grandfather Mountain.

It is for this reason that it made it to our list of Bucket List Ideas Around America for Thrill Seekers.

Take a Walk Through this Ice Cave

The Mainland Ice Cave on Apostle Island in Wisconsin has made it on our bucket list.

Getting to Mainland Ice Cave requires a 2-mile hike in perfect weather conditions since walking on ice is involved.

Therefore, proper safety and weather conditions are needed to visit the cave. The park’s official website has regular safety updates.

Although the hike is dangerous, it is worth the trek as it provides breathtakingly beautiful views of a cave filled with snow and ice.

Plus, it gives you some serious bragging credits!

Sandboard Down the Dunes

Sandboarding is a recreational activity much like snowboarding, except on the sand instead of snow. If you are a huge fan of snowboarding, then give this a try.

Sandboarding is available in both Michigan and Colorado.

In Michigan: Sandboarding is available at Michigan Silver Lake Sand Dunes, where you can rent a board at the SandBox.

In Colorado: Another popular destination to go Sandboarding is the Great Sand Dunes National Park in Colorado. Rentals are available at SpinDrift Sandbarod Rentals.

White Water Rafting

For anyone looking for a heart-pounding experience, look no further. White Water Rafting is a great way to get the blood pumping

White Water Rafting varies from class 1 through class 6. The higher the Class, the more dangerous the journey.

Class 6, with wild and rough waters, may be just what you want for the more daring individuals.

For those looking for a safe experience, then Class 1 or II may be more appropriate.

Disclaimer: White Water Rafting is incredibly dangerous, and it is essential to go with an experienced professional.

Soak in Earth's Hot Tub

Soak in nature’s hot tub. Hot Springs are a unique and fun way to relax outdoors in a naturally heated body of water, usually heated by volcanic activity.

Hot Springs are great for soothing aches and pains, making them a perfect attraction for your bucket list to experience on your next vacation.

Drive a Nascar on the Indy 500 Track

If you are going to drive a Nascar anywhere, it should be on the Indy 500 Track. Seriously, how cool will it be to drive a Nascar on the same track that host one of the biggest events of the year

It is for this reason that it has made our bucket list.

Bathe an Elephant

Depending on who you ask, bathing an elephant can be a spiritual experience. Bathing an elephant is a sign of trust and affection.

Many believe this experience requires traveling to India.

However, that cannot be further from the truth. Bathing an elephant is available here in America at the Ohio Zoo.

Fly a Plane

Flying a Plane is such a fun and unique experience. There is a wide variety of planes and aircraft to fly.

However, where you live determines the kind of available aircraft available for you to fly.

Different types of aircraft to fly include, but are not limited to, Cessna, Biplanes, Piper, and so much more.

A great way to get started flying a plane is to find a local facility that offers lessons.

Sometimes, you can opt for a single lesson where an instructor takes you into the air to help determine if you are passionate about flying a plane before starting flying lessons.

Jump Out of a Plane

Nothing compares to that moment when your heart is pounding as you look out of the moving plane toward the ground, knowing you are about to jump into the open sky.

It is an adrenaline rush like no other.

Jumping out of a plane is an excellent experience for anyone looking for a heart-pounding, blood-rushing experience.

See an Active Volcano

Seeing an active volcano should be on your bucket list if it is not already. Viewing a volcano is possible at Hawaii’s Volcanoes National Park, especially at night.

Visiting an active volcano is a unique experience and, for many, a once-in-a-lifetime adventure that will create memories to last a lifetime.

Go on a Hot Air Balloon Ride

Riding in a Hot Air Balloon is a once in a lifetime experience for most people. Giving the ability to see amazing views from the sky above!

Most large cities across America offer Hot Air Balloon Rides, making it easily accessible for anyone to check off their Bucket List.

See the Aurora Lights

The Aurora Lights fill the stratosphere with beautiful hues that look like they are dancing around the skies. Fairbanks, Alaska, is a perfect destination in America to see the Aurora Lights.

Go Surfing

Hitting the big waves may only seem like a dream to some—especially those living on the mainland, miles away from the ocean.

However, surfing classes allow you to learn the techniques on the board to hit the big waves, usually in a day or within a week. Therefore, providing the ability to learn to surf while on vacation!

Thankfully, many coastal towns offer surfing lessons allowing anyone to try surfing!

Swim with the Sharks

Anyone who watched Jaws growing up may find swimming with the sharks a scary and frightful experience. Although, it is a fun experience that not many can say they have done.

See a Bioluminescent Ocean

Bioluminescence is an algae bloom that brings a luminescence glow to the ocean water.

The luminescence glow creates a magical and enchanting ambiance in the ocean. It is truly a unique and exciting experience.

Bioluminescence light up parts of the California ocean during spring nights. However, they are not always easy to find.

Therefore, taking a tour may give you the best chance to see Bioluminescence.

Tours are available by kayaking the ocean at night with professionals who understand the algae and the conditions that must be met for the light to shine brightly within the sea.

Go Sand Sledding

Sand Sledding is similar to snowboarding, except instead of standing on a board going down a pile of sand, you are sitting on it.

Sand sledding requires a specific sled since a regular sled will not gain the speed needed to make it fun.
