The Carlyle Lake Wine Trail was established in 2017 and features four wineries. The four wineries are unique, offering different scenery, activities, and wines.
In fact, the Carlyle Lake Wine Trail features over 100 types of wine throughout all participating wineries. The wineries are located throughout Carlyle, including the backroads, offering scenic views at various establishments and while driving between each winery. Hidden Lake Winery
Hidden Lake Winery is situated in Silent Forest, allowing you to drink locally-made wine in a peaceful outdoor setting. Their patios offer ample seating so you can enjoy the backdrop of nature. You can also enjoy views of the pond, wooded scenic landscape, and the stone cascade from the balcony.
Hidden Lake Winery offers wine tastings for just a few bucks. In addition to providing wine, Hidden Lake Winery also offers food. Food includes appetizers, sirloins, pasta, and soups. Bretz Wildlife Lodge & Winery
Get wild at this African-themed winery. Inspired by the owner’s passion for South Africa, Bretz Wildlife Lodge & Winery furnished the winery with decor from their many trips. Not only do you get to enjoy the unique decor this winery has to offer, but when you step outside, you can enjoy the pristine view of the pond and pasture.
Rather you are looking to enjoy appetizers by the pond, a drink with friends, or have a blast playing volleyball, Bretz Wildlife Lodge & Winery can accommodate you. With a diversified menu ranging from appetizers and sandwiches to seafood and steak, you will find something to eat!
If you are looking for something more than just drinking wine by the pond, you can kick off your shoes and play sand volleyball or test your skills at a game of washers.
Twelve Oaks Vineyard
Twelve Oaks Vineyard is one of the four wineries listed on Carlyle Lake Wine Trail. The winery offers a scenic view of a countryside setting with a pond as a backdrop.
Twelve Oaks Vineyard produces their own award-winning wine, and you can see where the grapes are grown! When visiting the winery, you are welcome to walk through the vineyard, getting an up-close look at the grapes. How cool is that?
