Ultimate Holiday Checklist to Visit Santa Claus Indiana

Get Your Good Girl or Boy Certificate

When visiting Santa Claus, Indiana, you can get a certificate to bring home and hang on your refrigerator that shows you are a good girl or a good boy. 

Just inside Santa’s Candy Castle is a computer where you can communicate with the elves on the North Pole Network. 

After answering a few questions, you get a certificate you can print out for a keepsake. It’s a fun activity for the younger children, and the certificate will serve as a memory for years.

Meet Santa Claus

While in Santa Claus, Indiana, you will have plenty of opportunities to meet Santa Claus. 

You can stop by the Santa Claus Christmas store or head to Santa’s Cottage, where you can meet with Mr. Claus and tell him what you want for Christmas.

Write Santa a Letter

Stop by the original post office in town and write Santa Claus a letter! Tell him all that you want for Christmas. Make sure to include your name and mailing address.

One of Santa’s friendly helpers will write you a letter back and send it to you in December. 

Continue the tradition for years by writing a letter to Santa Claus and receiving a response from the big guy himself. 

Therefore, allow your kids to write Santa Claus without visiting Santa Claus, Indiana, every year.

Write the letter and mail it before December 20th to receive a response before Christmas. Please add a return address. Donations are appreciated to help pay for postage.

Check out the Santa Claus Christmas Store and pick up a customized ornament as a forever keepsake. It’s a great way to remember your vacation to Santa Claus, Indiana.

The Christmas Shop offers various decorations you can customize by adding names and dates. Ornaments include families, couples, and celebrations such as the first Christmas together.

In addition to personalized ornaments, they also have a wide selection of generic ornaments you can choose from! 

Even if you decide not to get one for yourself, the ornaments make a great Christmas Gift.

Important Information: The Santa Claus Christmas Store is open from May through December.

Try Hot Chocolate

One Christmas activity that is a must every holiday season is sipping on Hot Chocolate. 

Santa’s Candy Castle features over 35 different flavors of Hot Chocolate. If you are an avid lover of Hot Chocolate, you must try the Avalanche. 

It’s a half-gallon of Hot Chocolate they serve. Now that’s a lot of Christmas Spirit in one cup! 

In addition to the 35 different flavors, they also do frozen Hot Chocolate, which is a huge hit!

Try Fudge and Candy

While in town, trying different fudge and candy is a must! Santa’s Candy Castle features homemade fudge and chocolates. 

There is a wide variety of fudge to choose from, so it should be easy to find one you love.

Additionally, they have a wide variety of old-school candy, including candy buttons and wax bottles. They also serve a variety of flavors of saltwater taffy that you can choose from.

Check out the Christmas Lights

Christmas isn’t complete without seeing Christmas Lights. Light shows are held at the Lake Rudolph Campground & RV Resort from Thanksgiving through Christmas. 

The drive-through light show tells the story of Rudolph the Red-Nose Reindeer. Enjoy 1.2 miles of lights from your car as you listen to holiday music!

Don’t forget to stop by Santa’s Candy Castle for Hot Chocolate before you see lights! 

It’s a great way to sip on Hot Chocolate, relax and learn the story of Rudolph through light displays!

Santa’s Toys is a great way to stop and let the little ones pick out a gift to take home as a memory of their trip to Santa Claus, Indiana.

Santa Claus, Indiana, features Santa Statues throughout the entire town. 

Santa Claus Statues are scattered inside and outside several business establishments. 

With Statues all over town, it should be easy to snap a few selfies. It’s a fun Santa Scavenger hunt where you can find and take photos of all Santa Statues in town.
