Are you stuck in an everyday date night routine? Let us help you get unstuck.

If your last ten date nights have been overly ordinary or begin to look the same, then it’s time to spice things up.

One way to change the usual date night routine is to do something unique and memorable.

Why Change the Dating Routine?

Sometimes relationships can start to feel dull.

This is especially true when falling into a daily routine or prioritizing work or school over the connection of one another.

Routines are great and almost necessary for functioning adults.

However, doing the same daily can become tedious, especially following the same weekly date night routine.

Although having a schedule in adulthood is good, it can cause your relationship to suffer.

If you find yourself bored in your relationship and with life in general, then possibly all that is needed is a change in routine. [Read also: Ways to Rekindle Your Relationship]

Since routine is essential for work or school, perhaps the best thing to change is your free time with your partner.

Going on a memorable date night is the best way to step outside your comfort zone and routine and do something different.

If you don’t know where to start, don’t worry; we have Unique Date Night Ideas below.

Drive-in

The drive-in movie theater is a great way to spend an evening with your family enjoying the summer. The drive-ins is also a great date night idea.

If you are lucky enough to live in an area with a drive-in, this is a unique date night idea.

The drive-in is an outdoor movie theatre that allows you to watch movies from your car.

The best part of the drive-in is the ability to quickly sneak in food so you can have dinner at the drive-in while watching a movie.

Furthermore, since you are in the privacy of your vehicle, you can talk and joke throughout the film.

Drive-ins are a great way to have privacy with the one you are with while still being able to enjoy a movie.

Day Hike with a Bottle of Wine

If you are active individuals who like fresh air, exercise, and the great outdoors, this is right up your alley.

Packing up a bag for a picnic and hiking in the woods is an excellent way to spend your day, especially if you live near a National or State Park.

National and State Parks often have some of the best hiking trails.

Depending on the park and hiking trails, you can bring a picnic basket or charcuterie board and have a picnic on the park grounds.

However, if not possible, some parks offer scenic stops along the way, allowing the ability to enjoy a picnic in your car or outside of your vehicle while enjoying amazing views.

If you live in an area where bears and other large animals roam, we suggest having your picnic at a winery (since some wineries do allow this). We would hate to hear that we were the source of a bear’s feast. 🙂

Important: Always read the parks rules on food before arriving. Some parks do not allow food.

Horse-Drawn Carriage Ride

A Horse drawn carriage ride is a great date night idea.

A horse-drawn carriage ride screams romance.

A lovely horse-drawn carriage ride around a nicely lit-up city is just so romantic. It is also a nice touch to add before a dinner date.

It always surprises me how many women have never done this.

I think every woman deserves to have the memory of being on a horse-drawn carriage ride.

If you haven’t gone on a horse-drawn carriage ride, then add it on your list of future date night ideas.

Ferry Ride

A ferry ride is a great date night idea.

If you are lucky enough to live near a ferry, take advantage of it.

You could turn your date into an entire day and explore the city, wilderness, winery, or wherever your heart wants to explore.

A ferry ride would be such a unique addition to your date.

Take a morning ferry off to your destination, where you spend the day exploring. No plans, just you and your lover exploring the unknown.

Dinner Cruise

A dinner cruise is a great date night idea.

A dinner cruise is a unique way to have a romantic date night

Dinner cruise experiences are different from just offering, just that, dinner on a boat.  At the same time, others entertainment includes dinner and theatre performances, live music, dancing, and even fireworks.

Painting Date Night

Taking the nation by craze is an evening of painting while drinking wine.

Creating a piece of artwork, you can take home and display!

Bonding with the one you love while trying new experiences makes for a great date night, especially if you are dating someone creative and artsy!

The best part is that the painting will be a forever memory of your date night.

Ax Throwing

Are you feeling adventurous?

Then Axe Throwing may be just what you need for your next date night.

Ax Throwing is a wild experience that allows you to throw axes at a target. Similar to darts, although it is a tad bit more dangerous.

However, Axe Throwing is something to check off your date night list and will surely leave lasting memories for years to come. [Read also: Top Attractions to Try This Year]

Escape Room

Ahh, the escape room. Can you find your way out in time?

The Escape Room is a great game to play with your partner as it requires you to work together to escape. Escape Rooms allow you to conquer challenges while trying to find your way out.

Furthermore, trying to escape together may allow you to learn how your partner solves problems.

From doing an escape room, you may find that your partner prefers to work alone, possibly taking the lead, or maybe wants you to lead.

It’s a great way to learn so much about the one you are with while having fun and making memories.

Pottery Class

Pottery Classes are a great date night idea. It is also a great activity if you are looking to spice up or rekindle your relationship by trying something new.

Are you looking for a relaxing yet fun date that you can remember for years?

Then you may be interested in a pottery class.

Depending on the business, a pottery class may allow you to make a creative piece from a pottery wheel or by hand.

Some businesses will enable you to paint on an existing piece before firing the artwork in a kiln.

It is fun for you and your loved one to spend time together, creating a creative piece of pottery to take home as a forever memory.

Stargazing

Stargazing is a great way to have a little summer fun with the whole family. Furthermore, it offers a great date night idea.

Nothing is more romantic than reconnecting while lying under the stars.

Just you, the one you love, the sky full of a million stars cuddling together and talking.

Having this time together allows you to talk and discuss life, goals, and plans for the future.

It’s a great way to relax, connect and open up to one another.

Driving Range

Driving range is a fun way to take your partner on a date.

The driving range is a great date night idea, even if it’s your first time hitting a golf ball or if you are an old pro.

The driving range can offer more than just hitting balls. It can also determine your partner’s skill levels.

Knowing your partner’s skill level is important if you want to play a round of golf on the course, especially if you play together for the first time.

A driving range can indicate if your partner has ever played golf before.

After all, the golf course can be intimidating for those first-timers.

So it’s good to know your partner’s skill level so you can help them if needed or challenge them to a good game of golf if they are experienced.

Segway Tour

Segway Tours are so much fun if you have never been.

Going on a Segway Tour is a great idea to change the usual date night routine while doing something fun and exciting.

There are a variety of Segway Tours to choose from that suit your interest. Where you live will determine the types of Segway Tours available to you.

Go to a Shooting Range

A shooting range is a great date night idea.

The Shooting Range is so much fun, especially if you have never been.

It can be intimidating to hold, load, and shoot a gun for the first time.

Once you do it, it feels so empowering. Therefore, making it a great date night idea.

Trivia Night

A game to challenge your wits.

Do you know everything you ought to know about Harry Potter, World War II, or Pop Culture?

If so, great. If not, don’t fret about it.

Trivia Night is a great way to spend the evening guessing answers while snacking on food and drinking beer.

You can go with a group of friends or try to outwit the bar as a couple.

It is an excellent and fun way to strengthen the bond in your relationship.

Glo Bingo

Glo Bingo is a wild experience.

Often, the room lit up with glow-in-the-dark lights, packed full of people and a wild host (or at least in my experience).

Everyone is trying to be the first to win Bingo’s game, daubing away at the Bingo card while drinking beer.

All the while, the host is doing everything to ensure that you are having a blast while playing!

If you go, don’t forget to bring daubers! Because I sure did when I first went.
