About Triple Falls Trail

Triple Falls Trail is an extremely short trail that is only 0.3 miles long. The total hike takes approximately 10 minutes to complete.

Triple Falls Trail is one of the more popular hiking destinations in Buffalo National River, allowing for a beaten-down path. The trail is well-marked along the way, making it easy to follow the pathway to view three beautiful 48-foot-tall waterfalls

The best time to consider the waterfalls are after heavy or continuous rain. For this reason, Spring is the best time of year to visit. This is when the waterfalls are most likely to have the heaviest flow, unlike during summertime, when the waterfalls have been known to dry out, leaving just a little trickle.

Hiking to the waterfalls is only one part of the adventure. Getting to the trailhead is the other! The drive-in and out are steep. After heavy rain, the roads will likely be muddy, and you may get stuck if you do not have good tires or 4WD. In fact, cars get stuck on a dry, humid day when the roads are not muddy! You will see signs upon entering the road that state 4WD is recommended to get to the trailhead. So just be careful and use your best judgment when driving to the Triple Falls Trailhead.

Getting to Triple Falls Trail

Important Information to Know Before You Go
