You know you’ve arrived at Northside Diner once you see the outdoor mural of classic icons painted outside the restaurant. These icons include Elvis Presley, Marilyn Monroe, and Audrey Hepburn, among others.

Northside Diner in Chesterton, Indiana, gives you an old-school classic dinner feel. The dinner has a black and white checkered pattern floor, a red neon light around the top of the ceiling, and retro red chairs and booths. To top it all off, a classic jukebox inside the restaurant adds to the overall theme.

The dinner-only serves breakfast and lunch as it is only open from 6:00 am – 3:00 pm every day except
Tuesday as the restaurant is closed.

The family-owned ice cream parlor makes its ice cream fresh weekly and has a large variety of treats, including ice cream, frozen yogurt, sherbet, and sorbet, with over 50 flavors.

Sherbet
The sherbet is 98% fat-free and consists of cream, sugar, skim milk, and corn sugar. Flavors for sherbet include orange, raspberry, lime, pineapple, and lemon.

Sorbet
The sorbet is 100% dairy and fat-free and consists of fruit and water. Sorbet is seasonal when the fruit is available, which includes mango and lemonade.

Frozen Yogurt
Frozen yogurt contains cream, sugar, skim milk, and corn sugar. Frozen Yogurt flavors include Vanilla, Butter Pecan, Cappuccino Chocolate Chip, Black Cherry, Caramel Swiss Almond, and Mint Chocolate cookies.

Ice Cream
Ice Cream is made of cream, sugar, skim milk, corn sugar, and gelatin and Valpo Velvet offers over 40 flavors. Flavors include, but are not limited to, Mossetracks, Caramel Swirl, Birthday Cake, and Country Pumpkin.
