Fun Fact:
Longest Trail Loop in all of Arkansas

Dogs are allowed on the trail, allowing you to bring your fur baby with you. Another significant aspect of the trail is that it is open all year round. Thus, allowing you to hike it when you feel most comfortable. Rather than be on the cold winter day when snakes are in brumation or during spring when the waterfalls are in full effect.

What to Expect on Eagle Rock Loop

Since this trail is 28.9 miles long, you will experience a vast amount of scenery, including waterfalls and scenic views.

During your journey over Eagle Rock Loop Trail, you will cross through several streams and hike over nine mountains with a total elevation gain of around 4,005 feet. Therefore, making this trail challenging to hike.

Since you are trekking over nine different mountains, you will feel like you are constantly walking up and down hills, which also makes this trail difficult. This is a challenging hike, but, in the end, it is well worth it.

Important Information Before You Go

Use the best judgment when crossing any body of water. If heavy rain recently occurred, call the park ranger to see if the rivers are passable before coming. Trekking poles are highly recommended for this trail. You may have cell phone service on the route. Treat all water before drinking.
